Colleen Maschmedt is the founder of Maschmedt Interior Design. Colleen's
30 years of experience has given her a broad spectrum of design experience,
Winning Seattle's Street of Dreams, worked side by side with legendary
architect Rodger Montgomery. Colleen was one of first interior designers
to use Venetian Plaster and also helped perfect it's technique to her style.
This technique adds a lifetime of ambience that says welcome.
When Colleen first began in the interior design industry she was quick to identify that most clients were having a hard time with their voice being heard by the contractor and architect. Colleen was able to bridge the gap between the client, architect and Contractor by becoming the liaison. By implementing this system of production the clients dream for their projects would come to foreshown with great success. Not long after this Colleen became a Master Contractor taking her designs to a new level with her multi-array of concepts bringing them to life. Colleen’s style brought the word High End Interior Design to connotation.
In the early days Rodger Montgomery saw Colleen’s designs and hired her as a designer and together they won multiple first place awards along with winning the prestigious Seattle Street of Dreams.
Colleen's unique ability to identify with her clients by listening, encouraging and educating them brings a level of excitement and fun to the project. Colleen is always says "A good design is practical first and esthetic second, without this order frustration and disappointment will occur".
